Description
A course through representations of collective experiences and sparkles of social memory occurs in the expansive work of Theodoros Papayannis. Elements critically retracted from the historic registry of the Hellenic and Mediterranean civilization interweave with contemporary accomplishments of the Western art to imprint in space a form of art with a dominant monumental nature and, at the same time, a technically even conveyed detail.The use of different colors and textures on a surface level and the elaboration of the forms into space conduce to the production of a scenery, which defines a theatrical space evoking and simultaneously inviting the spectator to participate in the drama.
