WE33(EMEIS33)@Platforms Projects 2018
True to its context of experimentation in art, the Artia Gallery’s open group “We 33” takes part in the Platforms Project for the third time.
Having the interaction between the project and the viewer as a basis 33 artists have created their portraits on 50x50 cm mirrors. These works are part of a 2.6x2.6x2.6m cubic installation, a wooden box on the exterior, accessible to viewers by a door. Internally, the reflections of images on the clear mirrors in communication with the 33 artists’ projects create a grid, a mirror effect expanding infinitely, abolishing time and space.
The perpetual transport of the reflections creates a virtual reality, a “time-hole” that transfers us to the Now and reveals the lively sound of silence.
