Syni Papagianni

Born in 1960 in Athens, Greece.
Lives and works in Athens, Greece.

She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (A.S.K.T.) next to G. Moralis and D. Mitaras (1980-86). In the period 1981-82, she lived in Paris where she had the opportunity to study painting at the biggest European museums. In 1987-88 she taught at the municipal painting workshops in Metamorphosis, Athens. In 2001, she participated at the 2nd Balkan Painting Symposium in Limnos Island, Greece. Her works can be found at the Kouvoutsaki Gallery, the National Bank Collection and at many private collections in Greece and abroad. She had had a number of solo exhibitions such as; “Anemos” Art Gallery, Athens (1990), N. Psychiko Art Gallery, Athens (1993), “Amimoni” Art Gallery, Ioannina (1998), “Ersi’s” Gallery, Athens (1999), “Metopi” Art Gallery, Athens (2001) and “Orpheas” Art Gallery, Ancient Olympia (2005). A few main exhibitions of her are; “Young Greek Artists” at Fondation Hellenique, Paris (1982), “Female Plastic Word I.V.” at Aenao Art Gallery, Athens (1993), “Artists without Borders, Here is the Man”, Gazi, Athens (1996), Greek Panepirotic Federation, Zappeio, Athens (1997), Woman-Art 2000 “Epoches” Art Gallery, The Greek Light in Contemporary Greek Art Psichari Gallery, Athens (2001), “Zosimadon Draseis” (Zosimades Actions) (2003) and Contemporary Art “A walk through the Galleries” Athens 2004, “Epoches” Art Gallery.
